It's time to say goodbye....

Well, it's that time of year again, when we look at all the stamps sets that are leaving the catalog and cry a little. But then, we smile because we always know there's something great around the corner! This year is no exception, trust me!

Join me THIS Friday, June 3rd 7:00pm for card class.  We'll be spending some time with one of my favorite retiring sets Sense of Time. Please, help me give this set some more love before it's time is up...hahaha.

Cards cased from the demo only site, Stampin' Connection.

Shoot me an email linkedtogether@gmail.com if you'd like to attend card class.

When you have a few minutes grab a highlighter and your catalog and highlight all the retiring sets and accessories so you won't miss something that will be gone by the end of June.

There are a ton of discounted products as well.
I'd suggest ordering these items on my website.
They're limited supply items and you never know when they'll be gone.
Tip: I always find it easier to select all on the right side of the page to scroll though the whole list easily.

Or you can email me I'll have an order going in tomorrow night if you're unable to attend the card class.

Lastly, but certainly not least, please remember to mark your calendars for June 28th as we Stamp OUT cancer together! All details are listed at the top of my site under the BCRF tab.

Thanks again for all your support. I had an amazing time in Alaska thanks to you, my awesome customers and downline. I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Under 5 minutes, each!

I love our Bunco groups – the ladies are so much fun and the cards we make are great! So pretty and super easy!   DSC_0454

My original card used the Small Heart Punch - being carried over from the Occasions Mini. It was a male birthday card, they are usually hard to design but this was so easy!

DSC_0455 Most of the ladies at Bunco used the Small Star punch so the could give it to ANY man…I am sad to see that star punch retiring at the end of the month!

This morning, I re-created the cards we made last night, at Bunco. I made 4 more cards in 15 minutes!!! Gotta Love that :)

She told me she didn’t want it to look like a wedding invitation, and to her, card #3 did…many of you told me that was your favorite. It’s my favorite too! I am so excited to see that the  Perfect Polka Dots textured folder WILL be in the new catalog in JULY!
Here is another favorite that will be added to the new catty….
The Beautiful Wings Embosslit….envision me jumping up and down….I am SOOO excited! That was my most used item from this mini catalog. What mini catalog item did you use the most?
DSC_0020 As sad as I am to see this mini go, I’m even more excited to see the summer mini start in May! Check back tomorrow for 2 beautiful cards featuring all Summer Mini product.

  • Soft Suede Classic Ink – sponged on the butterflies
  • Naturals White Cardstock, #102316, $7.50 (40 sheets)  it’s a heavier cardstock then whisper white so it makes a perfect “white card base” and it has some natural flecks in it that add depth!
  • Old Olive Classic Ink – spritzed with water to create this soft look
  • Craft Bashful Blue – sponged at the top
  • Craft So Saffron – sponged at the bottom
Side note- if you don’t have a Craft So Saffron ink pad – you NEED it – when you want to stamp something vanilla on a colored cardstock please don’t pick the vanilla ink pad…it’s just too light. The So Saffron is perfect on every color of cardstock!!! Plus, I use it to create a soft sponged edged all the time. I will be sad to see this craft pad go in June! I will be keeping mine :)

How do you measure growth?

*** Quick housekeeping: On Aug, 13th I asked for your comments on our 2nd place commercial and the winner is Kathy Balman, she was chosen form random.org. Kathy won a SU! Circle Circus Reusable Shopping Bag!

I wanted to share a few of the great ways these ladies are using the LIMITED EDITION -Growth Chart.

Julienne Davison, an executive from Champaign, Illinois, put her Growth Chart up in her playroom, and uses the cute birds made with the Birds & Blooms Sizzlit die (item #113485) to track her kids' growth.

CU_growthchart_03

"Since my growth markers are movable," she says, "I plan to take photos of the children at various milestones and then record the date and measurement in a 'Watch me Grow' mini book."

CU_growthchart_01 CU_growthchart_02

Isn’t that the cutest ting you have ever seen?!?! Makes me wish my kids were little again…ok well, almost. hehehe But I do know who I can get it for! It will make the cutest Christmas gift form my nephews. I think I am safe saying that, since I don’t think my sister reads my blog!

Here's how Dale plans to use the growth chart at her school:

"On the first day of school, I always take a picture of each student . . . so I will take it in front of the grow chart. At the end of the year, I'll take a second picture and send both of them home with our last writing project which will be a book about how they have grown to be better students during the year. I also plan to use the growth chart during Math and let the students compare the length and height of various objects. I'm going to invite other classes to send their tallest and shortest students to be measured on our door, and we'll compare the differences to the tallest and shortest in our room."

CU_growthchart_05

"Since my main focus is getting my students to be better readers, I also plan to use the chart to graph the number of books they have read at home . . . so I will be putting other numbers where the metric ones were and adding student names and small punched shapes to the door to show how many books they read."

You Can Take It With You!
Mom and demonstrator, Anne Warman from Barrington, Illinois, has her house on the market, but that didn’t stop her from using the Growth Chart! Her husband trimmed and painted a piece of plywood to place the vinyl on so when they sell their house they can take the Growth Chart wherever they go!

This Idea Really Measures Up
Lisa Clark thought beyond the traditional use of the Growth Chart and created a ruler for her craft room. She cut out the ruler, then cut out the inch marks and adhered just the measurement marks to the edge of her counter. She then added the foot and half foot markers back in. Lisa uses this unobtrusive ruler to trim ribbon lengths, make quick measurements of scraps, visualize layouts, and more.

When asked about the other pieces of the Growth Chart that she didn’t use, she says, “I may use the tree and birds elsewhere in my craft room for fun.”

Growth_Chart_tips_CU_pic_4

OM Goodness…now I need two this would be perfect in my craft room!!! The tree is just too cute and the permanent measuring tool is perfect!
