I'm so excited!!!!

and I just can't hide it (sing along).....

But first here's the card I promised yesterday.

Embedded Embossing - give's the look of patterned, texture paper! And it's so simple!

The white piece on the front of the card is 4"x3 1/2" - we punched out stars and glued them on with the glue stick (making sure to get the edges of the stars) Then ran it through the Big Shot with a texture folder....it's just that easy! Tip: the glue sticks are the best way to attach something that has been textured with a folder. If you want to be bold, you can add several layers of punches to the paper and then still run it through. 

Gotta show the inside of the card, too.

I love that Stampin’ Up! spoils us at each event we attend but this year was over the top! We just arrived home from leadership 2011, +one, where part of our group made the highlights page, showing off our new beautiful bags! We call ourselves the bag ladies because if you’ve been in SU long enough then you have a closet full of BAGS!

This Leadership bag/purse is my favorite yet, it quilted with our vintage wallpaper pattern on it!

Here’s the matching day planner I got from my service account manager. The rubber Stampin’ Up Logo is so fun and the bookmark on the front is hand made from the new flower die in the occasions mini catalog!

Here’s our team at the end of the conference, 10pm after a FULL 2 1/2 days and we all still looked great!!!  Check out the beautiful broach we made during the make ‘n takes (by far the best event ever). 

I’m in LOVE with the new window panes, they’re beautiful! Check out the butterfly image attached to the broach on the clear window pane.

Worth the wait

any of you asked me to post info about Leadership. I know it’s been a long wait but here’s why…
You get to read all the details in an article I did for Paper Crafters Corner! How cool is that.
I have seen many of you and told you lots of the fabulous details but if you haven’t heard or just want to see the post….you can check it out HERE.  
It truly was the event of a lifetime for me and I can’t wait for next year! Here are a few more pictures of the Managers reception, all the YUMMY food we were served and some of the beautiful fabric samples made with the Big Shot! Oh yea, and I have to mention that I made a sweet new friend, Patty Bennett. She was a real jewel to be around.

Super Swappers

With Christmas only 2 weeks before I left for SUNNY Phoenix, AZ to attend Leadership, I only made about 10 cards to swap. There where ladies there with HUNDREDS and I only had a few. But, let me tell ya…the cards I got were OVER THE TOP!!! I hope they felt the same about mine...which I didn’t even keep a copy to share with you. LOL

Look at the CUTE card tree I bought at Memento Mall while I was there! I told myself there was nothing in there that I needed …boy was I $100 wrong. *wink*

These next two are by my SWEET Friend Cherise Schlicher  - We celebrated her birthday with friends form all around the country while where were there. Hey Cherise, love ya! I LOVE the NEW Tiny Tags set form the Occasions Mini Catty – let me know if you need a copy – I’d be happy to send you one!

This one is my FAVORITE!!! It was made by my L-inked Together Team Members and Super Friend Lisa Vale – One of my butterflies didn’t make the trip back. The large butterfly, from the new Beautiful Wings embosslit Die #11813, flew away!

Gifts Galore Recap…..

We made 6 projects (including a stationary set, not shown) stamped for 7 hours, and had a wonderful lunch by Sweet Tomatoes!!! Save the 1st Sat in Oct of 2010 so you can join us when we do it again!

Fast and Furious

Things have been going by fast a furious but the L-inked Ladies (Lisa Vale, Amanda Morris, Jackie Brafield and Myself) are having an amazing time.

Wed night we went back to Tucanos, a Brazilian restaurant at the outdoor walking mall in downtown. Let me just say all you can eat meat and a side of Brazilian crack makes for a FUN evening. Can you pick the Brazilian Crack from the following picture?

Ok, get your minds out of the gutter ladies….the grilled pineapple is to die for! LOL

Day 3 Thursday – general session & classes have begun

Because we are a few short of a full deck LOL we woke up at an hour I can’t disclose, to sit (on the floor) in front of a gate that wouldn’t even open till 7:30 AM for general session. There is something about sprinting, with 3000 women, to get a front row seat that we  would NOT miss. I know it sounds silly but you’ll get it once your here next year!

First in line…ok so Dina and Tammy were first but it’s all about who you know….right?

Convention Crazy

Ladies, I am in trouble because convention classes have not even started and I am whooped! Having a BLAST lots of swaps, shopping, laughing, eating….

Tuesday, once we arrived, we sat in the lobby all afternoon making swaps and chatting with demos from all over the US and Canada. We meet up with lots of friends we haven’t seen in a year…plus Lisa and Jackie meet Shelli Gardner CEO & her daughter Sara for the first time.

Swaps (looking and trading) are one of the highlights of any SU! event. And convention is the best place to see things that rock your socks. I wish I knew who made these, if they are yours just drop me a note so I can give you credit! Check out some of these swaps made with the under $10 stamps! Gotta love beautiful and inexpensive :)

Day 2 -Wed at 4:40 in the afternoon - Momento Mall is the REASON we came in a day early. LOL This was the line to check OUT!!! Oh but wait….the line outside was twice as long, started at 6:00 AM and NEVER let down..phew. We want SU! logoed items and SU! never lets us down! This year the content was amazing. I purchased a punch ring for you guys. This will help us know what punches fit with which stamps! LOVE IT :) 

I’ll show some more of the products that we bought later this week. But check out this paper dress…how cool is that!

Convention and a new Catalog!

OMG! I am super excited about all our new product lines and have had a fire lit under me again after convention. I won't bore you with all the little details but I will post lots of pictures! This is our first day of Convention! We made our shirts, they are hard to see but they say Celebrate '08 witch was the theme this year. From right to left: Lisa Vale scs purplevale, Mandy Grant (me) scs mandysu, Jackie Barfield and Amanda Morris.

This is one of my swaps for convention. It was a technique swap. I love the look of score lines mixed with paper piercing. The picture is bad but it's striking in person, really, lol.

We had so many surprises at convention. The first was the 2nd phase of the decore elements! I was in love with the idea from the beginning but it's just gets better. To bad we don't have a bulk buy option to use as an in person sample. Hey, maybe we all need to email demo support and let them know what we want! Is this not awesome! This was Jill showing us the new 2 step decore elements. I can't wait to get them in my daughters room. I hope they will be here in time for Christmas. Wouldn't it make a great gift :)

Rocking at 8:00am to the demo band! Do you see my fabulous new sweater? It has the SU! logo on it and it's super soft. I love momento mall :) but I am sure it's not a wise investment. hehe This was the best part of convention...friends and the new catalog.
