I wanted to CELEBRATE....

every occasion with a magnetic HYBRID banner! This idea has been brewing in my head since I saw the build a banner kit from the Holiday mini catalog. I dreamed of making a gift that could be used all year round...well that took a little more planning than I originally thought :) LOL
Jenny Peterson (my dear friend) inspired me with this card and it came together quickly after that - thanks sweetie!

My vision came together and the YEAR ROUND Build A Banner was created!
With 28 Digitally Designed pieces this banner can say:
HAPPY - Birthday, Holidays, Thanksgiving
PEACE on earth
EASTER
SPOOKY
HELLO
BABY
LOVE you to infinity and beyond

and MANY more.......I've added a few of the images below to show you how easily it changes.

Harvest of Thanks and ABC-123 Sketch Alpha downloads worked perfectly to create the changeable letters for the banner! How fun is the "little letter" in the bottom.... and to add more HAPPY to this Hybrid project they cut out quick and easy with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. Whoo Hooo

LOVE....you to infinity and beyond

SPOOKY

BABY

This banner was just begging for an easy way to store all the pieces while not in use so below is the portfolio create to do just that! Inside the portfolio are 2 large cello bags folded in half to make 4 pockets! It's storage and packaging all in one - YAY!!!

These pockets hold the banner itself with all the design elements.... punched circles, ribbons, doilies, glimmer circles, and all 28 of the designed letter and holiday tags. Now I'm off to design a focal point that will add a WOW to the front of the portfolio!!!

While you're creating holiday gifts this season I encourage you to THINK HYBRID!

In the nick of time

I’m going to post this early because I KNOW my family does not look at my blog :)

I created some calendars for Christmas gifts this year, great gift and I only had to make it once, and print it a bunch! I used the new calendar template that SU released this week and I had to HURRY to get it done because it had to be sent to the printer today! I love the idea of a template but then I go and have to get crazy. It would have taken me minutes to throw in a few current pictures, but NOT me.

I had this crazy great idea to go back several years and collect pictures so we could see the kids growth. What a trip down memory lane, I know the kids were tired of me squealing and clapping my hands at each old picture I ran across but they are just too stinking cute, if I do say so myself!

Here’s the finished project and I ordered one for me in an 8x8 soft cover book so I can use it as my planner this year! I’ve only included the Feb calendar page because once you’ve seen one you’ve pretty much seen them all. I didn’t add anything fancy.

This is what the new stands look like and I know my family will love them. What do you think? I’ll start MDS classes again in Jan so don’t miss out, we’ll be making 5 pages at a time and then sending them off to the printer!

Holiday Planning Begins

With al the stuff we need to get done for the holidays, are you organized? I found a great free site to help you with all the LISTS we need to make. My favorites were the Master Gift List and the Christmas Card List. The card list has a place to check off cards you received and sent for the next 4 years. Shut up, can you believe it, 4 years. I agree with you, it’s way to organized for me but super cool!

How often do we say,

I made it for me!

I was asked by a new customer just the other night, if I still get to create for ME.

I started thinking…and looking around the house, and I realized that I have been creating and keeping things quite a bit, recently. I Love that I get to create everyday, and the thought a giving a handmade gift is what hooked me on Stampin’ Up! to start with

If you haven’t made something that was for you, in a while, I encourage you to just go play and remember the LOVE affair you have with stampin'.

Even thought I counted a TON of “for me” projects (my new purse, all the cute Halloween decor, my chalkboard….well most of these I create for a class, but kept them) I decided to make something just for me – yes it will turn into a class but that’s what I love about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

CHECK THIS OUT – can you guess what it is?

OK, now that I have you drooling, I’ll show you the whole thing!

It’s a memo board, for ME!

DSC_0993

It’s already in my Kitchen so the pictures is not that great but I just couldn’t move it from there hehehe!

DSC_0994

I love mine so much, that I’ve decided to add it to the line up of Gifts you can pick from at the…..

Gift Buffet - Dec 3rd and 4th open from 10am –10pm both days.

My house will be open 10AM – 10PM  on the 3rd and 4th for you to get all your Handmade Gifts done (or make something just for you) just in time for the Holidays to be in full swing. You pick what you want to make and when you want to come. I’ll have everything ready for you to play!

Pictures and Prices to come over the next few days….you’ll want to block out some time on the 3rd and 4th of Dec, to come play with me!

See you soon,

Mandy

Check out my other classes listed under the tabs at the top of the blog and shoot me and email @ mandysu@comcast.net if you’d like to join us for one!
