Traditional Christmas Cards

are still a BIG deal with crafty people (look at the votes to the right) so I wanted to share 2 more designs that I've come up with. The Sounding Joy was a must have set as soon as I saw it in the mini catalog but I have to be honest the Pines & Poinsettias was not a favorite till I got it FREE and played with it!

New Suites showcased in the Product Park!

WOW I was in love with the new suites as soon as I opened the catalog but SU hit a home run with the Product Park at convention. Everyday the park grew with fresh new ideas....Stampin' Up! employes are the best! They worked late into the night to impress us every morning. I LOVE this company and they love their demonstrators!

I want to start with the Beau Chateau suite because that's what we'll be using for our MDS class on Sat! I'll see you with your laptops at 1:00 for some MDS fun. Check back for a 2nd post today with all the links for the products to download. 

I'm in love with the fabric, too. Check out the long bow on the hat!! How easy and fun :) 

Because Stampin' Up! events are all about relationships I have to post a few group shots.

Let me know what you think of the video. How can I make it better, etc? This was my first technique video that that had to be FILMED. My MDS videos are done right from the computer, so their much easier!

But first here's the card I promised yesterday.

Embedded Embossing - give's the look of patterned, texture paper! And it's so simple!

The white piece on the front of the card is 4"x3 1/2" - we punched out stars and glued them on with the glue stick (making sure to get the edges of the stars) Then ran it through the Big Shot with a texture folder....it's just that easy! Tip: the glue sticks are the best way to attach something that has been textured with a folder. If you want to be bold, you can add several layers of punches to the paper and then still run it through. 

Gotta show the inside of the card, too.

Today I'll show the 1st card we made in Feb, come back tomorrow to see the 2nd card design (with embedded embossing). All cards are pretty inside and out *smile* and you can stamp the envelope, too!

Yes, it crooked and I smeared it but I still think it's pretty.... we'll maybe not, but I'm sure if I sent this card to someone they would NOT say OMG it's crooked and smeared. Would they? 

I do LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the outside of this card, so it's all good!

 But honestly, if I were going to send it I'd have some "extra" embellishing to do, because theres no mistakes in stampin' just a chance for more layering and embellishing!

Blown away with all it can do!

WOW - Daily, I'm inspired on www.MyDigitalStudio.net 

There is so much that the program (MDS) can do to simplify the creative process.

Below are pictures (and the link) to a post that was shared yesterday, on www.mydigitalstudio.net. She gives TONS of pictures of the baby shower and how she used MDS to make it gorgeous!  This post thrilled me because once you do the work, for the first event, you can easily go in and change the colors to use it for another! That got me thinking....this will be the first "extra" MDS club video that I'll offer.

11 yr old Valentines

No, these are not pictures from 11 years ago *wink*

My sweet little girl, is 11 years old and she loves to stamp. 

The last 2 years I've come up with a design for her Valentines class treats, she copies that and adds her own twist. Last year she made them with the milk carton die (see them here). This year she use the heart shaped cups, from the kits I was selling, and had a blast. 

She's my mother's child. I'm such a "slap it together" girl and my mom wants it just right. I wont call her names, but she want's it perfect. hehehe Erika is the same way. She actually said, "they aren't perfect. I have to sand them all". ARE YOU KIDDING? She's 11 and they looked just fine to me before she sanded them! 

The yellow one on the right was my design and the ones on the right were hers. Too cute hugh? 

But 28 of them was not enough, she needed CUPCAKES filled with candy for her teachers, too.

I think she did a great job but then, I guess I'm a little biased.
